I can only get 6 or 7 rounds in the magazines. I’ve got about 500 rounds through mine, both 10 round mags and 3 12 rounds, and they all show what I’d consider excessive wear on the followers. It is a TINY gun but yet somehow I am still able to shoot it like a gun that’s twice its size?! The trigger is closer to the slide which helps with a lower bore axis. In fact, I enjoyed shooting the gun so much, I fired two extra shots, and they hit in the bottom circle within the time limit. S&W has had actual recalls on the M&P Shield EZ. It is far more costly for them to take a risk like that and end up in a major class-action lawsuit. Finally, around 2,500 rounds on my personally purchased P365, I experienced my first, legitimate brass-cased round failure. I don’t know what kind of witchcraft the engineers in Exeter, NH are employing, but for the size and thickness of the P365 to be able to fit 10 or, Sig Sauer Elite Performance FMJ in 115, 124 and 147 grain varieties, Sig Sauer Elite Performance JHP in 115 and 124 grain loads, Winchester Train & Defend (FMJ and JHP both). The P365 was accurate for its sub-compactness, light weight, and short-length barrel. Right now the obvious choice is the Shield RMSc, but it is not exactly the most durable optic. I’m curious. The front sight dot is large enough, but one minor concern for me was that the rear two dots were very small for my aging eyes. All of their pistols and rifles offer the user unmatched accuracy and reliability. Some think so, but I did not experience any issues after 5,000 rounds. My first trigger press actually surprised me. I think they did an excellent job, but if I was king for a day, I would have stretched it out just a bit. Right out of the box I knew it was going to be a keeper. There are no ongoing, widespread, or design-based issues of any type related to the function of the P365. To clear this MOAM (Mother-Of-All-Malfunctions) it requires the shooter to lock the slide to the rear, strip the magazine from the gun, rack the slide multiple times, insert a loaded magazine, rack the slide, and chamber a fresh round. This gun appears to be very reliable. Comparing it to the Springfield XD-S, the P365 is .10″ less in height, holds three more rounds in the mag, is .5″ less in total length, and weighs 5.2 ounces less. Sig designed the p365 well with excellent ergonomics. But as always with any gun, your mileage may vary, and you should do your own testing of a minimum of 500 rounds without issues with YOUR carry ammo.
